HOW TO MAKE GINGER TEA



Indian ginger tea, also known as "chai" or "masala chai," is a popular and delicious beverage in India. Here is a recipe for making a tasty and authentic Indian ginger tea:

Ingredients:

  • Water (2 cups)
  • Milk (1 cup)
  • Loose black tea or tea bags (2-3)
  • Fresh ginger root (1-2 inches, grated or sliced)
  • Sugar or honey (to taste)
  • Spices: cinnamon stick (1), cardamom pods (3-4), whole cloves (2-3), black peppercorns (2-3) (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a pot.
  2. Add grated or sliced ginger, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, cloves, and black peppercorns (if using) to the water and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Add loose black tea or tea bags to the pot and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add 1 cup of milk and sugar or honey (to taste) to the pot and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Strain the tea into a cup and enjoy!

You can adjust the amount of ginger, milk, and sugar to your personal taste. Some people also like to add other spices such as nutmeg or fennel seeds for extra flavor. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious and aromatic Indian ginger tea.
